My Vision As An Author
While in the beginning my quest was to find methods that would heal my own heart and soul, my life’s purpose and therefore my Vision is to spread this knowledge and its application to people around the world. My Vision is to apply what I have learned in the University Halls, from my own experiences of grief and trauma, and from the healing I have done and witnessed in others, to heal the physical, emotional, mental and soul wounds of the millions in our world who have been deeply wounded. My Vision is to let the world know that true healing is possible, that it can be each person’s reality. My Vision is to offer to all who choose healing, regardless of where they live, what culture they are from, or what religion they profess, the therapeutic tools to make this happen.

The Purpose of Taking Flight Books
Dr. Jane Simington is a prolific author, addressing lay persons and professionals with publications in print and online. She has written Chapters in professional textbooks, and Endorsements and Forwards in the books and CDs of other authors. At Taking Flight Books we publish and distribute books, and audiovisual productions developed by her.
In each production, Dr. Jane combines her professional background and education in both Nursing and Psychology, with her own experiences of grief, trauma, healing, and transformation, to help, heal, and empower, people of both genders, and across cultures. Built upon a spiritual worldview, each publications is motivational and transformational. Each emphasizes that for any healing efforts to be successful and long lasting, they must first address the soul concerns, prior to meeting the mental, emotional, social, and physical concerns. Her spiritual framework includes the uses of energy-transfer healing, dream interpretation, therapeutic art, guided visualization, clinical hypnotherapy, and Neo-Shamanism.
On this site you will find her internationally sold books, Journey to the Sacred: Mending a Fractured Soul, and Through Soul’s Eyes: Reinventing a Life of Joy and Promise, published in English, Española, and Deutch. These are available in soft cover, in Kindle versions, and in PDF format.

Testimonials
Her personal grief allowed Jane Simington to reach beyond herself and listen to the spiritual struggles of others. She learned to recognize such a journey as a “soul walk." Simington’s mission is to bring a new model of care to people trapped by their belief systems, political systems, psychological circumstances, economic systems and even health care systems. In her professional life, Simington has been a teacher, a mentor and a leader. Since writing Journey to the Sacred: Mending a Fractured Soul and healing herself from unfathomable grief, she entered a new level of leading. She is aware that doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing gives her incredible personal power. She is living her life with purpose and passion, and feels she is fulfilling some kind of destiny.

Dr. Simington’s work is very professional. It is spiritual. It is like ceremony.

I have had the honor of witnessing Dr, Simington’s healing work. She has an innate ability to connect on a spiritual level and to “hear” their soul pain. As a professional working in the field of addictions, I have come to know that spirituality and soul pain are integral elements in the process of recovery. Journey to the Sacred: Mending a Fractured Soul and her video Listening to Soul Pain are valuable resources for both individuals and professionals.

I am long overdue in writing about how much I appreciate the wisdom found in your book… I have read the book three times and I still know I have not gleaned all I can from it. I can say that after reading many other authors such as Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Roger Walsh, Caroline Myss, Gary Zukav, Melvin Morse and others, that I place your book at the top in readability and the material that causes me to stop reading, and think about what I have just read, and relate it to my life or one of my life experiences, and then to determine what I can learn from it.
